Personally I'd rather just walk. The manual ones dont feel very natural since you're the one proppelling them.

I have used one .I felt like the motion was too jerky. Not very smooth at all. Look around at the thrift stores or in the classifieds.I got a pretty good one from goodwill for 50 bucks.

It would be a waste if you stopped using it!! That's what most people do. It becomes a very expensive clothes rack. But if you really need it there are other options to purchase one. Try a tag sale, I see loads of them that people no longer use. Or try your local newspaper. Good Luck!

PS ... May the forces of evil become confused at your door...

anything electronic that's 7 years old, is a POS. even if he sells it for $200

buy yourself a new snazzy pair of running shoes instead, and get some fresh air - if you're active you should buy a new pair of runners every 6 mo's

plus old models of treadmils are nothing but junk anyway, and $1800 for a brand new treadmil isn't that much anyway. If you're looking at buying a used one, go to a gym and see if they have any used equip for sale. Most home treadmills aren't that great. The track on them are usually short, and there's not much any shock absorbancy.

I find that sometimes, when I get in a bad sleep cycle, my running really suffers. Get more sleep!
Furthermore, if you are using a different treadmill, you may be thinking that you are doing the same program, but are doing something different; different treadmills just act differently even when it says that the speeds are the same. It's weird and frustrating.
Also, running the same distance at the same pace on the treadmill is a prescription for trouble. Try running outside! You will run better and faster. If you still want to hit the 'mill, try doing a different program, like increasing the speed every 5 minutes or some reasonable facsimile therein.

You could be overtraining. Do you run 3 miles every day 7 days a week? If you are also having trouble sleeping and becoming irratiable, then most likely you are working too hard

Hey, one thing is that you might be getting a slight case of "burning out". When you do the same things over and over again, you body might just shut down for a bit and just get fed up with the same routine. It might not hurt to take a week of just doing 2 mile runs and then doing three again. Or, just take a couple days off.
