are manual treadmills really poor compared to electric treadmills ?

I am looking to buy a treadmill and did want an electric one but money is a bit tight at the moment , I was thinking of getting a manual or magnetic one instead but am unsure because i have only used electric treadmills , does anyone know if they are that different or would a manual treadmill be ok for home use ?

A manual one would be just as effective as an electric one although it won’t have as many of the features but any exercise is better than none

Best machine for the money (and cheaper than a treadmill) is an eliptical machine.

Why not just go outside and just start jogging or ridding a bike. This is much better for you body (unless you live in the city). Get one of those pace watches that bleep rhythmically to keep trace of you jogging pace . And the best thing is, its free. Why do you need a treadmill at home?

But to answer your questions, it probably doesn’t make that much difference
